Club Burwood had for many years experienced water penetration into their building through their western wall.
The wall was populated with all the air-conditioning and refrigeration services which meant that there were significant potential sources for water to migrate.
Soleace's solution was to cover the entire western wall with a multilayered UV stable liquid membrane.
A very narrow and purpose built scaffold was installed to enable Soleace to undertake the works. Initial works included crack repairs & joint works.
Once the substrate was prepared all services were protected and the liquid membrane was installed using an airless spray gun. Four coats were applied via this method to ensure that all surfaces received the necessary coverage and that no potential water ingress could occur.
A final coat of Dulux weathershield in a colour selected by the client was applied to give the wall a professional finish.
The owners were very happy to report that after receiving a heavy downpour of rain immediately after our works that it was the first time in a very long time that they remained dry.
